MACHINIST: Q'xavi is enlisted within the ranks of Ishgard's deadly mechanicians, specialising in the construction and maintenance of their firearms and cannons.

However, with the Dragonsong War having drawn to its conclusion, he currently spends more time aiding Ishgard Restoration efforts, taking up mercenary or guarding jobs, along working on his own projects.

IMMEDIATE FAMILY: Q'xavi has two adoptive mothers, Q'lana Vhrei and Navia Lyehga. He affectionately refers to them as "Sunmama" and "Moonmama"

He also has two older siblings, Q'raya and Sano'a.

Q'xavi is tall for a miqo'te man at 5"8 with a toned body and broad shoulders. He is especially notable for his sharp teeth, facial scar and caracal-like ear tufts. He is rarely seen in public without a pair of goggles.

Q'xavi is an eccentric miqo'te known for his seemingly boundless energy in both combat and engineering efforts. He is endlessly talkative, easily excitable and insatiably curious - often trying to use his knowledge and talents to solve problems and improve the lives of others.

Though the combination of his recklessness and curiosity can often get him into trouble, he is extremely loyal to those close to him; sometimes unquestioningly so, and will fiercely protect them.

Likes: Tinkering with machinery, exploring, making people laugh, griffins, solving problems, fire.

Dislikes: Deep water, the Garlean Empire, complete silence, canines.

Hired gun: With the Dragonsong War to an end, Q'xavi finds his combat prowess is needed less and less. If your character needs a friendly face to keep them safe, Q'xavi is more than willing to help them out!

Born as X’ahvi Tia, Xavi lived a relatively peaceful early childhood in The Fringes with his tribe. However at age 5 Xavi’s tribe, like many others living in Gyr Abania at the time, was caught in the crossfire of Ala Mhigo’s fall to the Garlean Empire; many of his tribemates slaughtered on the spot or conscripted- himself included.

With many other young children, Xavi was trained to repair and aid in the construction of various garlean warmachina- being small enough to be able to squeeze into small and often dangerous places during the manufacturing process. He worked tirelessly in hopes of being able to see his family again, his efforts unfortunately for naught as most had perished in battle or died as a result of early Resonant experimentation.

At age 9, Xavi was stationed in the imperial flagship Agrius- providing ammunition for the cannons on the lower levels during the Battle of Silvertear Skies. During Midgardsomr’s rampage on the dreadnought and the resulting explosion, Xavi was thrown deep into the ceruleum-contaminated lake.

The child was found washed up and encased in crystal by two miqo’te women who had been scouring the battlegrounds for survivors on gryphon back. After a week in a comatose state and tended to under the eyes of the generous women, the child emerged - remembering naught but part of his name and sporting a new, striking blue hair colour. With no luck tracking down his previous tribe, the two women decided to raise the child as their own, now known as Q’xavi Tia.

Q’xavi spent his remaining childhood recovering his strength and aiding his newfound parents, showing an enthusiasm for blacksmithing and archery. He grew a good reputation as a reliable repairman and proficient marksman, moving to Limsa Lominsa at age 20 to aid in airship repairs wrought by the calamity. He became fascinated by the firearms carried by both the pirates and yellowjackets and was soon making a living repairing and enhancing them. This later moved to larger weaponry such as canons, which soon grabbed the attention of Ishgard’s Machinist guild.

Q’xavi now spends his time in Ishgard as a dedicated Machinist, honing his skills as a marksman and aiding the Skysteel Manufactory in their work with the high houses and restoration. He is considered notable for his eccentric behavior and oddly in-depth knowledge of magitek, drawing inspiration for his own projects from studying (and scavenging from) garlean wreckages.
